Job Summary

Are you an experienced Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for a rewarding contract in Sewickley, PA? We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and flexible nursing professionals for a Day Shift position in a premier long-term care facility.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, resident-centered care in a skilled nursing environment—supporting daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring resident safety and comfort alongside an interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, resident-centered care for individuals with chronic conditions in a skilled nursing or extended care setting.

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), personal hygiene, and mobility support.

• Measure and accurately document vital signs, intake/output, and changes in health condition using the facility’s EMR system.

• Support medication administration under supervision and with order verification, following all facility policies.

• Assist with routine medical procedures, therapy setups, and scheduled resident activities.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and dignified living environment for all residents.

• Communicate promptly and effectively with RNs, LPNs, and therapists regarding resident updates and care plans.

• Support the emotional well-being of residents and provide basic updates to families.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

• CNA Program: Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program with competency evaluation.

• Licensure: Current, unencumbered State CNA Certification.

• CPR/BLS: Active CPR/BLS certification required.

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience providing resident-focused care in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care environment.

• Proven experience documenting care, vitals, and notes in Electronic Health/Medical Records (EMR).

• Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary care team.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with wound care monitoring or fall prevention programs.

• Working knowledge of infection control standard practices.

• Bilingual capability (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
