Responsibilities
- Acquire CT and X-ray images across multimodality applications, ensuring proper patient positioning and protocol adherence
- Prepare and position patients, select appropriate exam protocols, and optimize image quality for accurate interpretation
- Administer contrast media per protocol when required, monitor for adverse reactions, and document patient responses
- Verify patient information, procedure details, and enter accurate procedure codes and documentation
- Follow radiation safety standards (ALARA), use shielding appropriately, perform routine equipment QC, and maintain infection control practices
- Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and cross-functional staff to ensure timely imaging workflows and clear communication of findings
Requirements
- Active radiology license in California or eligibility (as required by the job)
- Certification in radiography and CT (per job notes) or equivalent credentialing
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Experience with CT and general radiography preferred
- Ability to work days, 12-hour shifts in a hospital-setting environment
- Strong patient-care skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
