Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Med Surg patients per individualized care plans
- Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition, and document findings in the charting system
- Administer medications and IV therapies, manage wounds, drains, and catheters as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to implement and adjust care plans
- Ensure patient safety, apply infection control practices, and respond to clinical emergencies
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions

Requirements
- Current New York RN license (active at time of submission)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital RN experience; prior travel experience referenced
- Relias EKG exam: must be completed within 72 hours of signing; pass/fail scoring per facility policy
- RN modules via HealthStream/Relias: estimated 12–15 hours; must be completed by 7:00 AM the Wednesday before start; failure to complete required modules may result in denial of orientation
- Ability to float to other Med Surg units within the scope of practice and training
- References required; recent Nursys verification
- Local hiring restriction: candidates with permanent addresses within 50 miles of Saratoga not accepted; specific counties are excluded per posting
