Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, adjusting care plans as needed in collaboration with the care team.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, ensuring appropriate delegation and supervision.
- Coordinate care with multiple disciplines and departments to optimize patient outcomes.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in the delivery of care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the patient record in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred; strong clinical assessment skills required
- Ability to work nights and comply with 12-hour shift schedule
- Capacity to function effectively in a hospital setting and to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Background check, credential verification, and reference checks as part of the onboarding process
