Travel Registered Nurse Float Pool Job
Registered Nurse, Float Pool – Geneva, NY, United States. Start date 07/20/2026. Duration: 14 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,142–$2,196 per week. Shift: 3x12 Night shifts. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This position requires cross-unit float coverage across multiple inpatient units and includes rotations on weekends and holidays, with two on-call shifts every four weeks. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed.

- Cross-training across med/surg, ICU, ER, MS, MST with float coverage; EOW/holidays rotations and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care across multiple units as a float RN, including medical/surgical, ICU, ER, telemetry/step-down, and observation units
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Respond to acute changes, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate to physicians as needed
- Document in the electronic medical record, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort
- Deliver age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; monitor growth and development considerations as applicable
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety protocols, and evidence-based practice; contribute to a collaborative and respectful team environment
Requirements
- Licensure: Current New York State RN license
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through American Heart Association or RQI
- Other certifications: NIHSS; Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire; CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care settings
- Additional: Must be cross-trained for multi-unit float coverage and able to float to ICU/ER/MS/MST; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
