This ICU travel assignment places an experienced RN on a 13-week temporary assignment in a high-acuity ICU unit. The role emphasizes complex patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous monitoring in a busy adult critical care environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care to adult ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and routine therapies such as CRRT/Prismaflex support
- Administer medications, sedatives, analgesia, and vasopressors per physician orders; identify and respond to adverse effects
- Perform frequent neuro checks, manage invasive lines and devices, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Document thoroughly in EPIC EMR, including orders, assessments, meds administration, and discharge planning input
- Conduct patient and family education, ensure safety and infection control practices, and participate in rounds and care planning
- Float to other units as needed (to all units except Behavioral Health and ER unless holding) to support patient throughput
Requirements
- Licenses: Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; all active RN licenses
- Certifications: Current AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: 2+ years of ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU); travel experience required
- Skills and operations: Proficiency with CRRT and Prismaflex; experience with EPIC EMR
- Additional requirements: Local candidates welcome; RTO must be included at submission; valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Additional qualifications: Heart-care experience highly preferred
