Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
OR Registered Nurse (Travel) – Operating Room in Rochester, New York. Start date 07/27/2026 for a travel assignment lasting several weeks. Weekly pay range is $2,332 to $2,409 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days. Work setting: hospital operating room with a diverse general and specialty surgical caseload.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care from pre-op through postoperative recovery as part of the surgical team
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with scrubbing, instrument handling, counts, and room setup; support Da Vinci Xi equipment as needed
- Manage a broad case mix including ortho (total joint, trauma), neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic, bariatric, ENT, plastics/microvascular; respond to intraoperative events
- Document intraoperative data in the charting system (EPIC experience preferred)
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, ensure patient safety and comfort; assist anesthesia and other perioperative staff
- Participate in call responsibilities and float to related OR areas as needed
- Adhere to infection control practices and complete required competencies (phlebotomy and IV insertion)
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- BLS required; CNOR preferred
- Travel RN experience required; 3 years OR experience preferred (internal notes list 1 year as a possibility)
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR with a broad surgical caseload; willing to participate in call and occasional float
- 1:1 patient care ratios expected during days and nights
