Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Travel) in Burlington, VT. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 16-32 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,839-$3,030 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating. This travel assignment occurs in a hospital-based operating room setting and involves large, academic pace with cardiovascular/open heart cases. The role may require floating to other OR suites and circulating duties as needed to support patient care and unit operations.

Responsibilities
- Circulate for cardiovascular/open heart procedures as assigned; manage intraoperative workflow, instrument tracking, and room turnover
- Maintain sterile technique, correct patient positioning, patient monitoring, and interruption-free surgical flow
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Prepare and verify equipment, implants, supplies, and Epic documentation; record intraoperative events and charges accurately
- If floated to other OR suites, circulate (not scrub) and adapt to General, Orthopedic, Neuro, ENT, or related cases as needed
- Communicate effectively with team and respond to intraoperative changes, equipment failure, or emergent situations
Requirements
- BLS required; CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR exposure
- Prior travel experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR within the past 2 years
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule and to be flexible with unit needs
- OR circulating experience (if floated) and strong patient safety focus
- RN licensure and ability to practice per regulatory standards
