Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments used for surgical procedures and patient care
- Perform daily biological and sterile supply testing and maintain logs for each
- Manage instrument needs by coordinating with units and circulating within the facility
- Assist with endoscopy procedures as needed and stock supplies for units per directions
- Complete competencies per AVH policies, AORN, AAMI, HSPA, and CER standards governing SPD practices
- Collaborate with the SPD team and other departments to maintain a safe, efficient, and professional environment
Requirements
- Certification: CRCST or CER required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to work in a high-altitude environment (8,000 feet) and maintain safe operation in a low-oxygen setting
- Not accepting any RTO (no requested time off during the assignment)
- Ability to function across department lines and support others as needed
- Education requirements: not specified in notes; eligible to meet certification and job-specific competencies
