Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for surgical patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Coordinate intraoperative care and collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and support staff.
- Supervise and delegate duties to appropriate nursing staff and/or other team members as needed.
- Document care and patient outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education to support continuity of care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR or BLS certification from an approved provider
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR/acute care nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Must be available for on-call requirements: 5 times in a 6-week period, including weekends
