Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion to support patient needs and safety.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor patient status and respond to changes.
- Document care accurately and communicate patient progress to the interdisciplinary team.
- Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program
- Minimum 1 year of ER or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and thrive in a high-acuity hospital environment
