Responsibilities
- Perform specialized breast imaging examinations (mammography) to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate mammography equipment, ensuring optimal image quality, proper patient positioning, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain relevant history, and document imaging procedures according to department guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to interpret images and convey findings as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate imaging records, ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and department policies.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technology license (California) or as required by state law.
- ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility (or equivalent credential).
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience in breast imaging or diagnostic radiography preferred.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment; capable of patient positioning, standing for extended periods, and assisting with patient transfers.
- Availability to work 4x10-hour daytime shifts.
