Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in Helena, MT. Start date 06/21/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 12-hour nights on a 2x3 pattern. Hospital setting. You’ll float between medical and surgical/oncology units and use Epic EMR during care delivery. BLS required. Prior travel experience and 2 years of Med Surg experience are requested.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct adult patient care on Med Surg units, including routine assessments, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, wound care, and catheter care as prescribed
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate to the care team as needed
- Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines; participate in discharge planning
- Maintain accurate Epic EMR documentation and uphold patient safety and infection control standards
- Float between medical and surgical/oncology floors as assigned and maintain professional practice within policy
Requirements
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice in the appropriate state
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Prior travel nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Ability to float between medical and surgical/oncology units and work the specified shift
