Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients during the shift in the operating room
- Provide perioperative nursing care, including preparation, sterile technique, and assistance with procedures
- Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Supervise staff to whom care is delegated and support competency and safety across the unit
- Collaborate with the chief nursing officer and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate patient care and effective resource management
Requirements
- Ability to perform perioperative nursing duties and deliver direct patient care in the operating room
- Strong clinical assessment, planning, and implementation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork within a surgical services team
- Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts on a travel assignment
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and adherence to established policies and procedures
- Willingness to participate in onboarding and follow facility guidelines for care delivery
