Travel Registered Nurse CVOR Job
Registered Nurse – CVOR (Travel) in Utica, New York. Start date: 05/18/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,653 to $2,771 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 10-hour days, four days per week (0630-1630 or 0700-1700). The position supports a CVOR/perioperative unit providing care to adult patients, using EPIC and Omnicell systems. On-call is required, with a minimum number of on-call days per four-week schedule, based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide circulating and/or scrub nurse support for adult cardiovascular procedures in the CVOR, maintaining sterile technique and proper counts.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff to ensure patient safety and optimal workflow during operative cases.
- Perform preoperative verification, patient identification, and planning; assist with positioning, draping, and instrument handling.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, respond to hemodynamic changes, and document events in the electronic health record (EPIC) as required.
- Manage instrument and supply control via Omnicell, ensure counts are accurate, and assist with postoperative handoff to recovery.
- Floats to related CVOR or perioperative units as needed based on census and staffing.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license (active)
- Education: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience; CVOR/perioperative experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS
- Ability to work in an adult CVOR setting; on-call availability; ability to work scheduled hours (0630–1630 or 0700–1700)
- Additional: Ability to float to related units as needed; eligible to work in the United States
