Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Implement prescribed treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, range of motion, gait training, and balance activities
- Monitor patient progress, document responses, and communicate effectively with the supervising PT to adjust treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes in the charting system
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and nursing staff to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and ROM exercises as directed; adhere to safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland or eligible for licensure
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Ability to work the listed shift (08:00–16:30) and contribute to 35 hours per week
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with PTs and nursing staff
- Willingness to travel and perform duties in a skilled care environment
