Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse, Med Surg, Atlanta, GA — travel assignment starting May 18, 2026 for 8 weeks in a high-acuity surgical/trauma unit. Weekly pay ranges from $1,530 to $1,642 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 12-hour night shifts on a 2x3 schedule. This position takes place in a hospital setting and is managed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. EPIC experience is required, with BLS certification and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, adult patient care on a high-acuity surgical/trauma unit, including spinal neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, and paraplegia/quadriplegia cases.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; administer medications and perform iontophoresis, wound care, and procedures as ordered; respond to evolving clinical changes.
- Document in EPIC and ensure accurate nurse handoffs between ED and admitting units.
- Collaborate with Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and the night unit secretary to support patient care; maintain the established 5:1 patient ratio where applicable.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and trauma protocols; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning with the team.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for Georgia licensure
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg or a high-acuity surgical/trauma setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2x3 schedule; must be willing to work given shifts with no block scheduling and no RTO
