Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Diabetic care focus in a school-based setting serving a student in Lacey, WA. Start date 09/03/2026 for approximately 39 weeks through 06/17/2027. Weekly pay range: $679-$719 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0 per week. Shift: Monday–Friday, 3.25 hours per day. This is a travel, temporary assignment within a school environment supporting a diabetic student.

Responsibilities
- Provide LPN nursing care with emphasis on diabetic management for a student, following school health plans and physician orders
- Monitor blood glucose as directed, administer medications per protocol, and document care and observations in relevant records
- Collaborate with school staff and health services to support the student’s health plan and emergency procedures
- Assist with diabetes-related needs during daily routines, including transportation periods where required, and ride the bus with the student as needed to ensure safety
- Maintain clean, organized clinical supplies (glucose meters, lancets, test strips, medications) and ensure equipment is ready for daily use
- Complete timely, accurate documentation of care provided and ensure compliance with school policies and confidentiality standards

Requirements
- Active LPN license in Washington state
- Diabetic care experience required
- Comfort riding the bus with the student as part of daily routine and transport support
- Ability to work effectively in a school-based setting and collaborate with education and health staff
- Proficiency with basic clinical tasks relevant to diabetes management and emergency response
