Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs, hemodynamics, and ventilator status
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed; adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Perform ICU-specific procedures as trained (e.g., arterial/venous access, central lines, sedation management) per facility protocols
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
- Monitor for complications and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate to the attending physician as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts
- Must live 80+ miles from the facility
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment in Brunswick, GA
