Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform assessments, administer medications, and educate patients and families.
- Respond to emergencies and function as circulating nurse for C-sections when needed.
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; collaborate with CNA staff as assigned.
- Document care thoroughly and maintain safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Ensure seamless communication with obstetric and surgical teams and adapt to evolving patient needs.
Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12 schedule)
- Proficiency in obstetric nursing fundamentals and patient education
- Strong collaboration with obstetric team and support staff
- Capability to work in a high-acuity labor and delivery environment
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment in Templeton, CA
