Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for ER patients following the nursing process and established standards of care
- Conduct initial assessments, continuous monitoring, and accurate documentation of patient status
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and policy
- Triage, stabilize, and coordinate care with physicians, technicians, and support staff
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels and collaborate across disciplines
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (per state regulations)
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3x12s)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Experience in emergency department or high-acuity care is preferred
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
