Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult IMCU/PCU patients, including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, and encephalopathy.
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and respond to changes in condition; administer and manage heparin drips as ordered.
- Administer medications and IV therapies; collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the broader healthcare team; document assessments and interventions in the chart.
- Maintain a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio whenever possible; perform accurate ongoing assessments, wound care, and pain management; ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Perform ongoing care planning, discharge planning, and education for patients and families; coordinate closely with ancillary services to support transitions of care.
- Participate in unit activities, escalation procedures, and quality-improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; experience in IMCU/PCU or similar unit preferred
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Evidence of proficiency with IV therapies and anticoagulation management, including heparin drips
- Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting and meet/unit standards for safety and quality
- Active RN license (as applicable to this assignment)
