Responsibilities
- Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation and analyze assessment information to determine care needs
- Develop and implement a care plan with prescribed interventions to achieve outcomes
- Coordinate care delivery and promote a safe, healing, and humane environment; monitor progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with the patient, family, and a multi-disciplinary team; provide education to patients and families
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of team members
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned and contribute to a learning environment for patients, families, and staff
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year of labor and delivery nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) in a hospital setting
- RN degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred; ADN accepted with opportunity for further advancement)
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and adapt to a travel RN role
