Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med-Surg, travel assignment in Saratoga Springs, NY. Start date 06/08/2026 for Weeks (travel - temporary). Weekly pay range $1,991 to $2,093 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. The Med-Surg unit serves adults and geriatrics and utilizes remote telemetry monitoring in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a Med-Surg unit, including monitoring via central telemetry
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, oxygen delivery, isolation/PPE, and basic wound care; educate patients and families
- Conduct ongoing assessments, document in the electronic health record (EPIC), and respond to clinical changes; participate in rapid response and code scenarios as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary, Transportation, Interpretation Services) to coordinate care
- Monitor telemetry alarms and patient status; escalate concerns to the appropriate team and promptly adapt care plans
- Floating within the scope of practice as directed by unit leadership (may float hospital-wide)
Requirements
- New York RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years acute hospital nursing experience; prior travel experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; EPIC charting experience
- EKG competency: Relias EKG exam required within 72 hours of signing; competency validated prior to patient assignment
- Healthstream onboarding modules must be completed by 7:00 AM the Wednesday prior to start; flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions submitted at least 2 weeks prior for approval
- Ability to work in a Med-Surg setting with central telemetry monitoring; float within scope of practice as needed

- Local radius: Candidates with primary residence within 50 miles are not accepted
- Excluded counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster
