Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT in a LTAC/LTC setting, supporting mobility and functional goals.
- Implement and monitor components of the plan of care, adjusting as directed by the supervising PT.
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, range of motion, strengthening, gait and balance training, and transfer techniques.
- Assist with patient positioning, mobility, and safety during therapy sessions; ensure proper use of assistive devices.
- Document patient progress, modify treatment notes as needed, and communicate concerns or changes to the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety plans, and carryover strategies to support recovery and functional independence.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a LTAC/LTC setting in Waldorf, MD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; accurate documentation
- Willingness to participate in facility onboarding and credentialing processes
- Availability for a 5x8 day shift with guaranteed 35 hours per week
- Eligibility to work in the United States
