Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies and diagnostic services for patients across all ages, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance techniques
- Monitor and manage patients on ventilators or other advanced respiratory support devices; adjust settings as ordered and assess patient response
- Perform patient assessments, document findings, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team to refine care plans
- Collect and process respiratory care data, perform arterial or venous blood gas sampling as ordered, and ensure accurate charting and handoffs
- Adhere to infection control procedures, safety protocols, and department policies; participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, device use, and discharge expectations; contribute to care coordination and continuity of care

Requirements
- Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT)
- Oregon Respiratory Care License in good standing
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS required
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical Respiratory Care experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital-based setting and participate in a travel assignment
