Travel Registered Nurse CVOR Job
Registered Nurse – Cardiothoracic/General OR (CVOR) travel assignment in Everett, Washington. Start date 06/08/2026 for a weeks-long assignment on a 4x10-hour day shift. Weekly pay range: $2,443–$2,485 per week with 70 guaranteed hours per two-week pay period. Work setting: hospital with Level II Trauma Center designation and 18 OR rooms, supporting a broad cardiothoracic/vascular surgical program. They operate in a high-volume CVOR with 1:1 patient nursing ratios and a comprehensive orientation.

Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative nursing care in CVOR and General OR for procedures such as CABG, AVR/MVR, AAA repairs, carotid work, and minimally invasive approaches (VATS/RATS, mediastinoscopy, pericardial windows). Scrub and assist as required; maintain sterile technique and patient safety; ensure correct implants and instrument counts.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perfusion teams; manage equipment, specimen labeling, and instrument turnover; document intraoperative events accurately in the electronic charting system.
- Monitor and support patient during pre-op prep, induction, and post-op handoff; contribute to maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio for critical cases.
- Chart with EPIC; ensure timely, compliant documentation of all intraoperative activities and fluid/electrolyte status, implants, and perioperative events.
- Call responsibilities: minimum 1 weekend per month and 5 weekday evening call shifts per month; respond per unit policy.
- Floating: eligible to float within similar CVOR/Main OR services as needed to meet unit coverage.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; pending license accepted by client.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CNOR, PALS, TNCC preferred.
- Experience: minimum 1 year in General OR or Cardiovascular/Thoracic OR; cardio/thoracic scrub skills requested; EPIC charting experience required.
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
- Ability to work in a hospital OR setting; ability to meet call requirements; ability to float to like units as needed.
- COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- References: 2 required, covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Other: pre-start and annual training modules required (non-billable; approximately 16 hours); RTO requests must be pre-approved; background/Nursys disclosure required and may require client approval.
