Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) travel assignment in Clifton Springs, NY. Specialty: Emergency Department. Start date: 07/20/2026. Duration: 8 weeks (possible extension). Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a busy ED serving all ages, with support from a PCT and a behavioral health team in CPEP as needed
- Triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, IV access, medication administration, and rapid response to evolving patient conditions
- Interpret dysrhythmias, perform ECGs, utilize bedside ultrasound for vascular access, and manage ventilated patients
- Assist with procedures, wound care, sepsis/stroke/MI recognition, and trauma/orthopedic interventions as required
- Collaborate with security, interpretive services, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient clearance and safe throughput
- Document care in Epic, communicate handoffs clearly, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives

Requirements
- Active New York RN license (in hand) required; must be eligible to work in NY
- Certification: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; CPI, TNCC, TRUST, CPIM are preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN ED experience required; prior charge experience and community hospital experience preferred; travel experience accepted; first-time travelers accepted
- Education: RN with current licensure from an accredited nursing program
- Skills: Epic (EPIC) charting experience required; strong triage, IV skills, dysrhythmia interpretation, and critical thinking in a high-volume ED; ability to float to related ED areas as needed
- Scheduling rules: Weekend requirement every other weekend; 3x12 shifts (Mids/Nights); ability to work in a 11-bed medical ED with a CPEP space
- Location rule: Candidates located within a 75-mile radius of the facility will not be considered
- RTO policy: Cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days of return-to-office (RTO); confirm at submission
- Additional: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with potential behavioral health considerations; bilingual ability or translator resources available
