Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated ICU nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
- Collect relevant data, assess conditions, and analyze findings to determine diagnoses and care needs
- Develop and implement a plan of care, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; provide education to patients and families as needed
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/acute care nursing experience
- BSN degree preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU hospital setting and meet the 36-hour minimum weekly requirement
