Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to obstetric patients in L&D, including labor support, monitoring, medication administration, and comfort measures
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures and provide couplet care across the L&D environment, including OR, PACU, and postpartum as needed
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer prescribed medications, manage emergencies, and document care accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds, handoffs, and care planning
- Assume RN charge duties when assigned, coordinating team activities, supervising staff, and ensuring patient safety and quality care
- Provide newborn care for babies 32 weeks gestation and up; support breastfeeding, newborn assessments, and transition to postpartum flow as part of the care team

Requirements
- Active Colorado RN license or compact license to practice in Colorado
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NRP and STABLE certifications
- RN Charge experience required
- Experience in L&D with OR, PACU, and postpartum care; ability to provide couplet care; capable of caring for babies 32 weeks gestation and older
- Flu vaccine required or documented plan to obtain by 10/31/25
- Travel eligibility: must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility
