Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Watertown, New York. Start date: June 1, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,538 to $2,645 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 8-hour days, five days per week (typical schedule; weekend, holiday coverage and on-call as required). Setting: hospital operating room and perioperative environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including preoperative assessment, patient positioning, aseptic technique, and infection prevention.
- Assist the surgical team and anesthesia providers with instrumentation, equipment setup, and intraoperative needs; manage supplies and sterile processing.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, respond to changes, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure; support safe patient transfers.
- Adhere to safety protocols, use patient lift equipment as needed, and maintain a safe, aseptic OR environment.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team; document nursing care and participate in handoffs to the next phase of care; may assist with post-anesthesia care coordination.
- May assume duties as charge nurse as assigned; participate in on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Meditech electronic medical record experience
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to function effectively in a high-stress OR setting and to interpret lethal dysrhythmia patterns as needed; on-call availability with a 30-minute response time
