Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to CCU patients, including ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care in collaboration with physicians, unit leadership, and other team members
- Maintain adherence to established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the health care team
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, administer medications per care plans, and document outcomes in the electronic health record
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with clinical protocols; participate in rounds and care coordination discussions
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and support lower-acuity staff as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- CCU/critical care nursing experience or demonstrated proficiency in high-acuity patient care
- Ability to work days, 12-hour shifts in a travel assignment (approximately 36 hours per week)
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week assignment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
