Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for ICU patients according to the nursing process and established standards
- Supervise and coordinate activities of various levels of nursing staff; collaborate with physicians and other disciplines
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret assessment data, and implement and adjust care plans as needed
- Administer medications and perform procedures within scope; ensure patient safety and infection control
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record; provide patient and family education
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care; delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate team duties
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in California (or state of practice)
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/critical care experience
- BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work in an ICU environment and on the listed night-shift schedule
- Start date availability for a 13-week assignment
