Travel Registered Nurse First Assist Job
Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA), Cardiac OR, Rochester, NY. Start date 06/08/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $3,274–$3,486 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shifts are 12 hours and primarily weekdays, with 7a–7p and 11a–11p blocks and on-call responsibilities per unit need.

Responsibilities
- Provide cardiac RNFA support in the operating room, including chest exposure and closure
- Independently perform vein harvesting for CABG procedures
- Assist with DaVinci robotic cases and, when needed, be prepared to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases (CABGs, structural heart, minimally invasive procedures)
- Contribute to heart transplant cases; experience in transplant is preferred but not required
- Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, instrument readiness, and effective communication with the surgical team
Requirements
- New York State RN license (RN license in NYS)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- CNOR certification
- Two (2) years of cardiac RNFA experience
- Telemetry competency
