Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency department nursing care, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and interventions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed staff to deliver safe, patient-centered care for patients and families.
- Administer medications, perform ED procedures as appropriate, and respond promptly to emergent conditions per policy and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation; communicate clearly with patients and families; provide education and advocacy to support informed care decisions.
- Uphold professional standards in line with applicable nurse practice acts and ethical codes; participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate clinical competency and commitment to ongoing learning to support patient safety and service-excellence goals.
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license (or eligibility for licensure by endorsement)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ER or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment; strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in travel assignments and comply with assignment requirements
