Unit includes Neuro/Ortho (MS/Telemetry) with adult patients; typical census around 21; 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on days and nights. Biweekly start dates are common; typical onboarding timeline is 3–4 weeks per compliance tier. Orientation is 38 hours. This travel assignment requires floating to units other than ICU, SDU, and ED, and does not include on-call duties.

Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes; interpret alarms and trend data
- Provide post-operative care for orthopedic patients (total joint replacements) and stroke/CVA patients
- Initiate and maintain IV access, manage IV therapies, and care for PICC lines as appropriate
- Manage PCA analgesia orders and collaborate with multidisciplinary team for pain control
- Apply isolation precautions and PPE, adhere to infection control practices
- Document accurately in the electronic charting system and communicate patient status during handoffs

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Missouri; license in hand at submittal may be required per state rules (MO rules may allow submittal without MO license; IL license in hand at submittal if applicable)
- BCLS/BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred; first-timers accepted
- Telemetry experience and knowledge of post-op orthopedics and stroke care strongly preferred; ability to float to other units as needed
- Epic charting experience required; ability to work night shift
