Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and physician orders
- Monitor resident conditions; document vital signs, assessments, and changes diligently
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility, ensuring safety and comfort
- Perform wound care, wound dressing changes, and basic routine nursing tasks
- Complete accurate documentation in the medical record; communicate changes to the supervising RN
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and respond to acute changes promptly
- Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe care environment
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligibility for NM licensure)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-need care setting
- Eligibility for travel assignment and successful completion of facility orientation
