Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment information, and develop a plan to address diagnoses and care issues.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, promote health and a safe environment, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers; provide education and health information to patients and treatment teams.
- Discharge planning participation and delegation of duties to appropriate team members; clock in to the unit being worked for float pool assignments.
