Responsibilities
- Prepare endoscopy rooms and ensure sterile setup for GI procedures, including ERCPs; maintain patient safety and sterile technique.
- Operate and assist with endoscopy equipment (snares, gold probes, and related tools) during procedures; run equipment intra-procedurally as needed.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures; assist with patient positioning and recovery.
- Document procedures and patient data in EPIC within the past 2 years; ensure accurate and timely charting.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and anesthesia to maintain workflow; handle room turnover and adhere to the rotating schedule; participate in on-call coverage as required.
Requirements
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of in-unit experience
- Proficiency with endoscopy equipment, including snares and gold probes; able to operate equipment during procedures
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work in the endoscopy suite across day shifts; 5x8 schedule with rotation of days/evenings; on-call required
- Reliable transportation; aware of travel considerations and weather-related requirements (no block schedules; winter driving precautions)
