This travel assignment is for a pathology-focused laboratory position within a hospital network. The role requires routine laboratory work under supervision, with established procedures and a 40-hour workweek. Local candidates within 50 miles of Cambridge, MA are preferred. The shift is 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory procedures under supervision, following established standards and minimal steps.
- Handle specimen processing, accessioning, labeling, and basic processing to support patient care and efficient lab operation.
- Support the pathology team with specimen preparation, documentation, and recordkeeping; maintain quality and safety protocols.
- Assist with phlebotomy tasks and specimen collection as applicable; ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Enter results and maintain accurate data in the laboratory information system; communicate findings to providers as needed.
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage and adhere to institutional workflows and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent GED
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in the specialty
- Phlebotomy: Phlebotomy training and hands-on experience
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification
- EMR: Experience with electronic medical records; EPIC experience preferred
- Licensure: Driver’s license; address must match demographics
- Work setting: Ability to work in a hospital-based laboratory environment
- Additional: RTO requests must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation
