Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
A travel RN opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty is available in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date is 07/20/2026 for an estimated 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults in the neuro/PCU patient population, including neuro checks and early detection of changes in status
- Monitor neurological status, perform NIHSS assessments, and document findings promptly
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, ensuring safety and protocol compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans; communicate changes to physicians and family as appropriate
- Document care in the EPIC EMR with accuracy and timeliness; maintain complete and legible patient records
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and safety initiatives on the unit
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro, PCU, or neuro step-down settings
- NIHSS certification required in CV packet to be considered; ACLS certification preferred; strong med/surg experience with NIHSS and some step-down exposure will be considered
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Night shift availability; no block scheduling and weekends required
- Candidate profile must include: complete work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card, Nursys license verification
- Demographic information loaded into profile, including badge-appropriate picture; NIHSS should be noted in CV packet
