Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations across multiple areas including abdomen (Aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, kidneys), gynecology (breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis), obstetrics (1st–3rd trimesters, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR), neonatal head, superficial structures (abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum/testes, thyroid), and vascular studies (carotid duplex, segmental pressures, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex).
- Perform procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasound as needed.
- Operate and optimize imaging using equipment including Canon i700; Meditech EMR; Fuji Synapse PACS; ensure image quality and proper documentation.
- Document findings accurately in the EMR/PACS system and communicate results to referring physicians and radiologists.
- Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control practices, and follow department and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with radiology team, manage patient flow, and adjust to a floating role as required by the assignment.
- Work within the assigned schedule; 40-hour weeks with on-call responsibilities; on-site coverage may include rotating to other units.
- Additional information: Must arrive the Thursday before start to attend an employee health appointment; please do not accept the start date if unable to attend as scheduled.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of full-time sonography experience in an acute hospital setting
- ARDMS certifications in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), and Vascular (RVT)
- Active BLS certification under the American Heart Association
- Ability to perform a broad range of ultrasound procedures (abdomen, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial structures, vascular) and to work in a hospital environment
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Eligible to work in the United States; Hawaii-specific licensure not specified in the notes
