Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond promptly to dysrhythmias.
- Administer and monitor cardiac and vasoactive medications per protocol (no titration) and manage central and peripheral lines; blood product administration as indicated.
- Provide care for post-operative cardiac patients (CABG, TAVR) and stroke patients; manage diagnoses such as heart failure, sepsis, diabetes, and renal/respiratory complications.
- Support non-invasive airway management (BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB), participate in Rapid Response and Code Team events, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teammates (IV team, Respiratory, PT, Social Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Transport, Unit Secretary).
- Document in Epic, maintain patient safety, and facilitate patient and family education throughout the care continuum.
- Maintain documentation and care within a 1:3–4 patient ratio, with opportunities to float per unit needs and scheduling.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho (or the ability to practice in Idaho per state requirements)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience in PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry
- Skills: Telemetry interpretation, management of cardiac and vasoactive therapies, central line care, non-invasive airway management, and readiness to respond to Rapid Response/Code events
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (typical RN credential); ability to work in a 24-bed PCU/Telemetry setting
- Scheduling expectations: Availability for a block schedule including weekends; orientation completed prior to or at start of assignment
- Travel readiness: Willingness to work in a travel assignment and comply with travel-specific requirements
