Responsibilities
- Set up, scrub for, and assist in electrophysiology procedures, including RF and pulsed field ablation, laser lead extractions, LAAO, and various device implantations.
- Support mapping workflows by ensuring connectivity and operation of Carto, EnSite X, Affera, and Rhythmia systems; assist with mapping and ablation as directed.
- Maintain sterile technique, handle instruments, monitor patient status, and document procedural details in the chart.
- Participate in orientation and unit training as scheduled: new employee orientation (Mon–Tues) followed by unit training (Wed–Fri).
- Adhere to safety and nicotine-free facility policies and follow established EP lab protocols.
Requirements
- Licensure and certification: Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) and Registration as Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT)
- Experience: at least 2 years as an EP Tech preferred; new graduates not accepted
- Skills: proficient in scrubbing for ablation procedures (RF and PFA); capable of supporting mapping systems connectivity and EP lab workflows
