Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for designated day shifts.
- Prescribe nursing care based on the nursing process aligned with the medical plan of care and patient input.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team; coordinate delivery of care for patients of any age on the assigned unit.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and maintain a 36-hour weekly schedule
- Capacity to function in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and commitment to patient teaching and discharge planning
