Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision of an occupational therapist per the plan of care.
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve or maintain functional independence.
- Document resident progress, changes in status, and response to therapy in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the rehab team to adjust treatment plans and communicate with care staff for safe and effective care.
- Ensure equipment and therapy areas are used safely and maintained in good condition.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Ability to work a daytime shift in a skilled nursing environment
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to follow established plans of care and collaborate with the rehab team
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
