Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and approved protocols.
- Prepare patients, position them properly, screen for contraindications, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
- Operate MRI scanners, select appropriate sequences, and adjust parameters to optimize image quality.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during imaging; manage contrast administration per facility protocol.
- Label, process, and transfer images to the PACS; document procedures accurately in the patient record.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures; contribute to routine equipment checks and calibration as needed.
Requirements
- ARRT certification (Radiologic Technology) required
- MRI (MR) certification or ARRT MRI eligibility strongly preferred
- Ability to perform MRI procedures and operate related equipment
- Must be able to work a 12-hour shift schedule
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and able to work in the Boston, MA area
