Responsibilities
- Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.
- Position patients and verify treatment areas, using imaging guidance as required to ensure accurate delivery.
- Operate treatment delivery equipment (e.g., linear accelerators) and confirm correct parameters for each session.
- Monitor patients during treatment, respond to any adverse events, and ensure comfort and safety.
- Document treatment delivery, maintain accurate patient records, and communicate updates to the oncology team.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, quality control procedures, and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Availability to work day shift in a hospital setting.
- Eligibility for a travel assignment in the state of California.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
