Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in Olathe, KS, United States. Start date 07/19/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $2,009–$2,190 per week. Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730), three shifts per week. Setting: Short-term acute care hospital with a PCU focus.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for PCU patients, including continuous monitoring, periodic assessments, documentation, and coordination of care with the multidisciplinary team
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; manage IV therapy and specimen collection/processing per protocol
- Support respiratory care needs, including BiPAP, and assist with chest tubes and PICC lines as applicable
- Call on own consults, participate in codes when necessary, and contribute to ongoing patient safety initiatives
- Float to ICU and all inpatient units as required; document thoroughly in EPIC EMR and adhere to unit procedures
Requirements
- Active KS RN license or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience; strong critical thinking skills
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing/processing own labs
- Comfortable floating to ICU and all inpatient units; able to call own consults and participate in codes
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 post-op experience with pacer wires is preferred
