Cardiovascular Technologist – Echo Tech, a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii, US. Start date 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range $2,323 to $2,387. Guaranteed hours 0.0. Shift: Rotating. This role requires RDCS certification with active BLS, ARDMS or CCI certification, and at least 3 years of acute hospital experience to support advanced echocardiography work, including 2D, Doppler, TTE/TEE, and complex cardiology studies.

Responsibilities
- Perform adult echocardiography studies, including 2D mode, CW/PW Doppler, valvular disease assessment, color flow mapping, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, and effusions.
- Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) studies; assess hypertensive heart disease; pediatric echo experience is a plus but not required.
- Operate and optimize imaging on Canon i700 and i900 systems; ensure high-quality images and accurate measurements.
- Document findings and enter results in the EMR (Epic) and collaborate with cardiology physicians and nursing staff; float to other departments as needed; participate in call schedules.
- Maintain compliance with credentialing: RDCS certification with active BLS; ARDMS or CCI certification accepted; demonstrate proficiency in adult echocardiography and related studies.
Requirements
- RDCS certification (or eligible) with active AHA BLS; ARDMS or CCI certification accepted
- Minimum 3 years of echocardiography experience in an acute hospital setting
- Proficient in adult echocardiography including 2D, Doppler, valvular disease studies, and TEE (2D & 3D)
- Experience with Epic EMR; ability to document and communicate findings clearly
- Able to work a rotating schedule with potential to float to other departments
- Availability to arrive the Thursday before start for employee health clearance
